Our commitment

RescueTech is committed to making rescuetech.com usable by as many people as possible, including people who use assistive technology, keyboard-only navigation, or have low-bandwidth connections. We build with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) as our reference standard.

What we've built in

• A "skip to content" link for keyboard and screen reader users.
• Keyboard-operable navigation menus, including support for closing menus with the Escape key.
• Visible focus indicators on interactive elements.
• Semantic HTML structure with descriptive page titles and headings.
• Responsive layouts that work across screen sizes and are designed for low-bandwidth conditions.

Ongoing work

Accessibility is an ongoing effort rather than a one-time checklist. As new pages and features are added to this Site, they are built and reviewed against the same accessibility standard.
